As an Illustrator and Graphic Designer at Lovepop, I do a little bit of everything on each product I work on. Each card, decor item, etc. goes through a similar process. I provide initial sketches either based on research from myself or Art Directors which then move on to final art (and submission to licensors if applicable). From there, I am involved in the process from directing the 3D design, to creating the art on all the planes of (as the front and back is often different according to the character). Once the art is turned over to our Design team in Vietnam, I assist with any feedback both with digital photos and physical prototypes (and sometimes… even flying to Vietnam) to make sure they are ready for production.
Occasionally, from there, I have helped with social posts, email blasts, website banners, gifs, photo shoots and more depending on the product. I am currently working on both license and non licensed product, as well as assisting with the creation of new products and their engineering and packaging.
I’ve worked on quite a few different Winnie the Pooh related products since we launched them last year. For Mother’s Day 2024, we created a nesting card with each card featuring one of the beloved characters. The cards get smaller and smaller the closer you get to the final card with Pooh. I worked on the concept, the copy, provided outlines for the 3D, and created all the illustrations for the front and back of each plane of the sculptures as well as all of the covers. This product was created to match back as a bundle to the Hunny pot bouquet that was illustrated in the same style.
